Councillor Peter Davies

We are very sad to announce that Elmdon Councillor Peter Davies has had to resign for personal reasons.

Councillor Peter Davies wrote to the Chief Executive of Solihull Council with his resignation, which is with immediate effect.

From a personal and also from a "Lib Dem" perspective, we are really sorry to lose Peter.  In Council and also in Elmdon ward, we will really miss his knowledge, expertise and passion.  We know that it was not an easy decision for him but ultimately, we respect his decision.

Unless the ban on elections is lifted and a by-election called, in May 2021 there will be two seats up for election in Elmdon Ward. In the meantime experienced Councillors Glenis Slater and Laura McCarthy along with campaigner Brad Tucker will continue to help Elmdon residents as usual.

On behalf of our Councillors and the Local Party Executive, we would like to express our thanks to Peter and wish him all the best for the future.
