Solihull and Meriden Liberal Democrats welcome new school for children with autism in the borough.
Following the formal announcement of a provider for the impending new school in the North of the Borough for children with autism, Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Children's Skills, Services, and Education Laura McCarthy said,
"I am pleased to hear that a provider has been agreed for the new free school in the North of the Borough and that work is progressing on the site. This school will eventually cater for 100 children with autism and is desperately needed in the borough. I look forward to the opening, but even this new school still does not meet the number of placements needed. I hope that in the future we will see another school opening in the South of the borough as originally intended too so that more children will be given the best possible start in life".
