Solihull Liberal Democrat MP Lorely Burt has attended the launch of the Red House pub following a £300,000 makeover.
Rooms have been refurbished to bring more light into the venue and an extension has allowed 47 more seats to be installed for drinkers and diners.
The family-oriented pub offers open fires, hot meals and cask ales.
Thwaites Brewery sent a two-horse carriage to the event to add some colour.
Mrs Burt said, "The Red House is a great family pub which I enjoy going to.
"Even before its recent makeover it had a warm atmosphere with staff happy to engage with customers of all ages.
"The Red House is an asset to the community and I look forward to seeing it go from success to success."
James, the landlord at the Red House, said, "The Red House is the finest pub I have ever ran and a well-used community pub. We pride ourselves on inexpensive home-made food and we market towards families."
