  1. Over the last year we have come to appreciate just how important green space is in terms of our mental health and wellbeing. We have massively increased our use of green space for local walks and many outdoor activities. As one of the very few public green spaces in Olton, we want residents to be in control of any future plans for Langley Hall Park.
  2. Langley Hall Park is the only open Solihull park without a play area or any exercise equipment. This is because there used to be a play area but it was vandalised and set alight so often that it was taken away to stop the council spending a huge amount of money constantly fixing it.
  3. We want to make sure that Olton residents voices are heard by the council. We’ve spoken to residents over the last few years who have expressed passion for and against a potential new play area and exercise equipment.

The Olton Liberal Democrats have produced this survey so that you can express your views on this subject. Every viewpoint will be considered equally and we want residents to give their consent before any major changes are made to leisure facilities at the park.

We will inform the council of these results, providing insights into what you would like to see and giving more power to local residents.
