Object to Hobs Moat Rd/Old Lode Lane Development

An application has been made to demolish two houses on the corner of Hobs Moat Road and Old Lode Lane and replace these with a three storey apartment block of 20 flats. We are asking you to sign our petition to reject this application on the grounds of over development.

We are objecting to this on the basis of:

- Not enough parking at only one space per flat, which will cause issues in the wider area.

- The building is too large and will cause problems for the sightline of cars on the adjacent traffic island.

- This could cause drainage problems.

- Overlooking adjacent neighbours.

Whilst we welcome additional housing in the Elmdon area, this development is too large for the site and is inappropriate. This site is more suited to traditional two storey housing.

You can see the full application details here: Application number PL/2020/01867/MIODW

We, the undersigned, call on SMBC to reject this planning application.

UPDATE: We have now submitted this application to Solihull Council planning officers. Thank you to every one who signed.

Campaign success! This application has now been refused. Thank you to everyone who signed and wrote to object.
