After years of council service, John Windmill was narrowly defeated in Olton Ward at the May 3rd election.
Long standing Liberal Democrat councillor, John Windmill, narrowly lost his seat in a tight result in the council election for Olton ward.
After a recount it was confirmed that John had been just 26 votes short of his Tory rival.
The results were
- Blunt (Conservative) – 1577 votes (42.4%)
- Windmill (Lib Dem) – 1551 votes (41.7%)
- Palmer (Labour) – 593 votes (15.9%)
