Install Secure Gates on Communal Garage Sites

Petition for Security Gates on Rowood Estate Garage Sites

For many years, we have raised concerns over the garage sites on the Rowood Estate. Fly-tipping is regularly dumped in this location, causing residents and lease-holders to become victims of environmental crime which they have no control over due to the open nature of the garage sites. This fly-tipping has increased during the Birmingham Bin Strikes and has led to health and safety concerns including waste set on fire, rodents, and rotting waste.

We are calling on Solihull Council (SMBC), Solihull Community Housing (SCH), Estates and Management and First Port to restrict access to the communal garage sites by installing security gates on all the sites they own or manage.
