In the Council's 2024 Waste & Recycling Survey, 60% of respondents said they were opposed to the council charging for green waste collections.

Despite this, Cabinet Members on Solihull Council voted on 12 December to charge residents for green waste collections.

Only the Conservative Cabinet Members were allowed a vote - there was no opportunity for opposition Councillors to vote.
