Speaking this week to the Solihull Observer, Cllr Adeyemo said: "Liberal Democrats in Solihull are pleased to have held on to many of our ward councillor positions and gained one new position.
"Solihull has bucked the national trend and, on the whole, kept faith in local, hard working councillors to keep our borough safe, clean and prosperous, despite misleading promises from Reform on national issues.
"Solihull Liberal Democrats have been elected to represent residents across the borough, not to engage in backroom deals or political games. We are absolutely clear - there will be no coalition.
"Our focus is on doing the right thing for Solihull. That means supporting measures that improve the borough and challenging decisions that are not right for the borough, regardless of which party brings them forward.
"Residents are tired of tribal politics and council dysfunction. They want a council that is transparent, financially responsible and focused on delivering for local communities. We will continue to push for greater openness, proper scrutiny and inclusion of all political parties in decision-making, rather than the closed-door approach residents have become used to.
"The Liberal Democrats will be the grown-ups in the room and will always stand up for those who are too often overlooked, particularly the least fortunate and most vulnerable residents in our borough".
Solihull and Meriden Liberal Democrats
We represent Liberal Democrat Members, Volunteers, Campaigners, Councillors and Candidates within the Local Authority area of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The Local Authority area straddles three separate parliamentary constituencies - the Solihull West and Shirley constituency, the Meriden and Solihull East constituency and the two Solihull wards in the Birmingham Hodge Hill and Solihull North constituency.
Liberal Democrats in Solihull and Meriden have a long record of action for the community, fighting hard for local residents on issues that are important to local residents.
